I would like to purchase a SPI Tracker but am not sure which one I need, how do I decide?

The answer to that question depends on factors such as where the unit will be used (city or rural) and how quickly you need to see the unit's location (real time or data logger).

If you need assistance weighing the benefits of each type of unit please contact SPI Tracking.

How do I check the location of my SPI Tracker?

When you purchase a GPS Unit from SPI Tracking you are given a username and password.

Using the secure Login on the SPI Tracking site customers are provided unlimited access to their account 24 hours a day.

Is GPS Tracking Legal?

The answer to this question depends on the State in which you are tracking.

Some States have no laws regulating GPS Tracking, while others like CA, NY and TN require the person doing the tracking be listed as an owner on the vehicle.

Where do I go to Login to SPI Tracking?

The Login for the SPI Tracking site is located on the left side of the SPI Tracking site's Home Page.

How do I find out more?

If you would like to learn more about GPS Tracking please call (402)932-4144 and a customer service representative will be happy to answer any questions you have.

How big is the GPS unit and where does it go?

GPS units are very small and can be hidden in a number of places under or inside a vehicle.

For specific unit dimensions please review the Services page of the SPI Tracking site.

Using Real Time GPS am I able to see the actual vehicle as it is being driven?

Unfortunately, no. Real Time GPS means you are able to track the location of the GPS at anytime. However, the images the trackers use are ones that have been taken by satellites orbiting the earth. These images are updated on a regular basis but are not live images.

Will I be able to look back and view the history of my SPI Tracker?

All tracking history is saved in a calendar format for easy review.

When a case is finished the tracking data is archived so that it can still be viewed but is not combined with a new client's tracking data.
